Approximate Distance: 14km Keelavalavu has two hillocks (small hills) called Panchapandavar Malai and Sakkarai peer oliulla mountain. The Panchapandavar Malai has ancient 9 Jain sculptures which belong to the 9th and 10th centuries AD including the sculptures of Mahavira and Bahubali.

Approximate Distance: 23 km This temple is one of the Arupadai veedu of Lord Muruga and is located on a hill. This is the place where Lord Muruga asks Avvaiyar whether she wants roasted fruits or unroasted fruits (“சுட்ட பழம் வேண்டுமா? சுடாத பழம் வேண்டுமா?”).
Approximate Distance: 42 km Pillayar Patti Vinayagar or Karpaga Vinayagar is very famous in Pillaryar Patti. This temple belongs to the 7th century CE and the speciality here is the Pillayar is in the Valampuri posture, that is the trunk of the Pillayar is to the right side contrary to the other Pillayars.
Approximate Distance: 16 km This temple is built by the king Sundara Pandiya I in the 10th century CE and it is the abode of Agastheeshwarar. Legends say that this Agasthiyar instilled the Shiva Linga while coming here to rest near this temple’s pond.
Approximate Distance: 56 km Karaikudi has many interesting tourist spots such as thousand window house, Kanadukathan Palace, Athangudi Palace, Kannadasan Manimandapam, Kamban Manimandapam,etc.,
St Mary’s Cathedral
Approximate Distance: 29 km
This is one of the oldest cathedrals in India and it was founded in 1840 and rebuilt in 1916. This majestic cathedral is a unique tourist attraction because of the combination of European, Continental and Roman architecture.
Alagar Kovil
Approximate Distance: 21 km
Kallazhagar temple is one of the 108 Divyadesam. This temple covers an area of 2 acres and this temple is the best place to find some rare sculptures that belonged to Vijayanagara sculptures.
Thondi
Approximate Distance: 90km
Thondi port belonged to the Pandiyas in the ancient period and it is famous for pearl fishing. Aavudaiyar kovil is also in Thondi and it is believed to be built by Manickavasagar in the 9th century CE it is also said that he attained salvation here.
